5 Minute Interview with Tommy Truesdale

How and why did you get involved with Irvine Beat FM? : Jack Bennie heard that I had finished at another radio station, after many years. He offered me the chance to volunteer as a presenter on a Sunday afternoon at 2pm. I jumped at the opportunity. Thanks to Jack Bennie. I have had a great support from the Irvine area over the years at live gigs with the Sundowners and with my radio broadcasts, and I am delighted that this has continued with Irvine Beat FM.

What are your favourite types of music? : Vintage rock and roll, 50s and 60s pop, swing, dixieland jazz, country and blues

I’m also on a compilation called “Sound of the West” on the Country House label and the “Pride of Scotland” double CD on the Emporio label.
